Hanami+Ropecon 2015

Heips!

Viime torstaina tosiaan oli jälleen Hanami Helsingissä, Roihuvuoren kirsikkapuistossa. En oo pariin vuoteen taas Hanamissa käyny, joten nytpä päätin pitkästä aikaa käydä. Oli tarkotus cossata Gouta koulupuvussa siellä, mutta aamulla lämpömittaria kattoessa totesin et "joo ei". Sitten kävi mielessä kerhoasu, mutta muistin että olin just heittäny housut likapyykkiin koska biojätepussi hajos niiden päälle.. Koska kumminkin oli takkikeli nii eipä sitä ois cossista hirveesti ollu iloa, joten menin ihan kasuaalina. 

Heti aamusta homma kusi, koska olin jotenki sählänny Reittioppaan kanssa ja kattonu aikataulut väärin (helatorstai ja sunnuntai aikataulut prkl) joten jouduttiin odottamaan pysäkillä aika kauan Neeneen kanssa. Päästiin sitten kumminkin suht koht aikataulussa keskustaan, jossa oltiin sovittu että napataan Dino matkaan. Siitä sitten metrolla Herttoniemeen, jossa oli perin pitkä jono bussiin. Päätettiin suosiolla kävellä, matka kumminkaan ei ollu pitkä.
Ihmisten löytäminen oli sitten oma ongelmansa, kun populaa tuolla oli niin maan vietävästi! Mutta onnistuttiin, ja oikeestaan vaan istuskeltiin ja juteltiin kaverien kanssa se pari tuntia kun tuolla oltiin. Mutta oli kivaa ja Sanni oli tehny tosi hyvää toscakakkua! Ja siellä oli hirveesti söpöjä koiruja ;__; (tuli heti ikävä Miikua). Pieni sadekaan ei haitannu kun se ei kestäny kauaa. Käytiin Dinon ja Visan kanssa kävelemässä puiston ympäri ja sosiaalisoitiin vähän lisää, sittenpä aika pian lähettiin Neeneen kanssa jatkamaan sen cossia.

Last Thursday was again Hanami at Helsinki, at Roihuvuori's cherry garden. I haven't been there for a couple of years now so I decided to go. I was supposed to cosplay Gou in her school uniform, but when I looked at the thermometer I was like "nnope."Then I thought her club uniform but remembered her pants were dirty as bio bag had broken on them previous day.. Well, since the weather was so cold you still needed jacket there wouldn't have been much joy from costume so I just went in casuals.

Things screwed right in the morning as I had messed something with bus schedules (because it was Ascension Day and the buses went with Sunday times = not so many buses) and we had to wait quite awhile at the bus stop with Neenee. Well we got to Helsinki pretty much on the schedule where we had agreed to meet Dino. From there by subway to Herttoniemi and there we came across with huge line at the bus stop. We decided to walk since it wasn't long way to the garden.
Finding people was a problem of its own as there were so freaking much people there! But we succeeded, and basically just sat and talked with friends that a couple of hours we were there. But I had lots of fun and Sanni had made delicious tosca cake! And there were so many cute dogs ;__; (I started to miss Miiku). A little rain didn't really bother as it lasted so short time. I went to walk around the park with Dino and Visa and socialized some more and then me and Neenee left pretty soon to carry on with her cosplay.

Ainii! Alpakka sai viimein nimen. Neenee nimes sen; Erkka Erwin Erireilujätkä. Sille piti tulla joku Shingeki-tyylinen nimi, ja kuulemma ekana tosta tuli mieleen Erwin (miten?!), joka sitten kääntyi Erkaksi. Tästä syntyi paljon huumoria viikonlopun aikana koska meillä on Erkka-niminen kaveri : D

Oh yeah! The Alpaca finally got a name. Neenee named it: Erkka Erwin Erireilujätkä (= very fair guy). He was supposed to get some Shingeki-style name, and apparently first that came in her mind from that was Erwin (how!?) which then translated into Erkka. This brought lots of humor during the weekend as we have a friend named Erkka : D

Sit se Ropecon. Jälleen kerran tie vei Otaniemen Dipoliin nörttäilemään viikonlopuksi. Perjantaina saavuin paikalle veljeni Juhan ja kaverimme Jonesin kanssa joskus neljän paikkeilla. Ihan ekana Kaubamajaan tsekkaamaan mitä on tarjolla, ja heti melkeen itkin kun näin sen uuden ison pehmolelukojun! Niiiiin paljon kaikkee ihanaa ;_; Mm Free- ja SnK-pehmoja!! Ei niitä oo missää muualla ollu! Tahdon. Onneks siellä ei ollu mun lempparihahmoja kummastakaa, ni sain itseni pidettyä kurissa. En ees uskaltanu kysyy paljo ne makso :'D Ostin kyllä uuden lompakon, joka oli ollu suunnitelmissa jo pidempään mutta ei ollu löytynu mitää kivaa. Ai joo ja Free!-pinssin. Tulen roolipelitapahtumaan ja ostan animekrääsää, tirsk.
Pelailtiin pari erää Carcassonea Myyn ja Dinon kanssa, ja tais siihen Kenji ja Neeneeki liittyä jossai kohassa. Muuten ilta meni sitten luennoilla istuessa. Ekana kävin kuuntelemassa "Kuuluisia myrkytyksiä"-luennon. Siinä kerrottiin historiassa tapahtuneista suuremmanluokkaisista myrkytyksistä, osa tahallisia ja osa vahingossa tapahtuneita. Ihan jees luento, en tiiä, ehkä jotain tää ois kaivannu lisää, jokin mua häiritsi siinä mutten osaa sanoa mikä : D Tämän jälkeen oli vuorossa hitusen mielenkiintoisempi luento historian harharetkistä. Tässä käytiin läpi tunnettuja tutkimusmatkoja ja -matkaajia, ja pohdittiin miten näitä retkiä pystyisi soveltamaan peleissä. Vaikken olekkaan oikeastaan roolipelaaja, esimerkit olivat hyviä ja luento oli muutenkin hyvä. (pahoittelen hyvin epämääräsistä kuvauksista, oon vaan jo onnistunu unohtamaan näiden sisällön viikonlopun aikana l'D).
Joskus vähän ennen klo 23 oltais menty oottelemaan että päästäis näkemään Game of Thrones-burleski esitys, mutta jono oli niin pitkä (rakennuksen toiseen päähän asti), että päätettiin suosiolla jättää välistä kun oletettiin ettei mahuta sisään ja mentiin pelaamaan. Ilmeisesti sinne sit ois kumminki mahtunu (Dipolin iso sali vetää maagisen paljon porukkaa), mutta kuulemani mukaan esitys ei ollut ihan odotusten mukainen.
Viimeisenä luentona sitten oli "Matkalla tuhoon - kuinka valtakunnat sortuvat". Tässä vaiheessa olin jo kyllä aika väsynyt (luento alko klo 0.00) ja päänsärkykin alkoi pikkuhiljaa hiipiä esiin, ja mietin jo että lähtisin pois, kun sitten sopivasti tuli Myylle viesti että meijän posse ois lähdössä. Se pätkä mikä ehdittiin kuuntelemaan niin vaikutti kyllä ihan mielenkiintoselta. Yövyin Juhan luona muutaman muun kanssa jottei tarvinnu olla yksin kotona eikä sen koukkailla hakemaan mua. Hetken aikaa pälätettiin ja syötiin ja sitten aika pian mentiin nukkumaan.

Then Ropecon. Once again our paths lead us to Dipoli of Otaniemi to nerd for the weekend. On Friday I arrived there with my big brother Juha and friend Jones around 4 pm. First to Dealer's Hall to see what they had to offer, and almost directly I wanted to cry when I saw this new big plushie stall! Sooo much cute stuff ;_; For example Free! and SnK plushies!! They don't sell them much in any con. Do want. Thank god they didn't have any of my favourite characters so I could hold myself back. I didn't even dare to ask how much they cost :'D I did buy a new walled though, as I have been thinking of that for a while now but haven't found anything nice. Oh and Free!-badge. I come to role playing convention and buy anime junk, tshihi.
I played some Carcassone with Myy and Dino and Kenji and Neenee joined us at some point too. Other wise Friday evening went mostly on by sitting at panels. First one was "Popular poisonings". Here the panelist told about bigger poisoning incidents in history, both intentional and unintentional. Pretty okay, but I don't know, would have needed something more, something bothered me but I can't name it : D After this was a bit more interesting panel about odysseys in history. Panelist told about known explorations and explorers and gave examples on how these could be apply into games. Even though I'm not really a roleplayer, the both examples good and I liked the panel itself. (I apologize for these vague descriptions but I have just some how already forgotten what was in these panels l'D)
Some time before 11 pm we were about to go to wait to get to see Game of Thrones-burlesque performance, but the line was so long (went to another end of the building) that we decided not to since we were sure we wouldn't fit in and went to play games. Apparently everybody fitted in and there were even empty spaces (Dipoli's big hall fits magically huge amount of people) but what I heard the performance wasn't as good as expected.
Last panel I attended was "On the way to destruction - how empires fall". At this point I was already so tired as it began at midnight and felt like getting a head ace, and was about to leave in the middle of the panel when Myy got a message from our friend that our group was about to leave. But the part we heard was interesting. I stayed night at Juha's place with some of our friends so I wouldn't need to be alone at home and he wouldn't have to pick me up every day. We talked for a while and ate and pretty soon went to sleep.

Lauantaina päästiin paikalle joskus yhden aikaan. Pelisalista pöydän löytäminen oli haastavaa, mutta onnistuttiin saamaan puolikas. Toiselle puolelle joku oli jättäny matkalaukkunsa yms kaikki tavaransa, ja kun omistajia ei pitkään aikaan kuulunu, todettiin vaan "fuck it" ja nostettiin ne ikkunalaudalle ja vallattiin loput pöydästä. Jossain vaiheessa se niitä tuli kaivelemaan ja otti sieltä pari asiaa, mutta jätti kumminki ja lähti ite eikä sanonu mitää että oltii niitä siirrelty. Päivä meni päästääntösesti pelatessa ja hengaillessa oikeestaan. Joskus neljän aikaan mentiin Dinon kanssa edellispäivästä viisastuneina mentiin jo Sali 1:en eteen istuskelemaan ja oottelemaan Gaalan alkua. Tämä kannatti nimittäin tää jono muodostu vielä pidemmäks ku se burleskijono, koska tää tuli takasi kakkoskerrokseen toisista portaista! Mutta ilmeisesti kaikki silti saatiin sisään. Salissa ei ollu tuoleja, eli toki seki autto että enemmän ihmisiä mahtuu.
Ensimmäisenä esiinty Unreality-kuoro. Erittäin hieno ja kaunis esitys. Tykkäsin näiden esityksesti ehkä vielä hitusen enemmän ku Another Castlesta Popcultissa. Enemmän biisejä jossa oli sanoja, plus näillä oli myös miehiä antamassa niitä matalia ääniä jotka sopi tiettyihin biiseihin, ja muutenki enemmän semmosia jotka kosketti itseä. Lauloivat mm. Harry Potterin tunnarin, Misty Mountainsin, Muumien japaninkielisen alkutunnarin, Rains of Castameren ja palon muuta. Myönnän että parissa kohtaa meinasi itku tulla. Ei, en myönnä! Kuoron jälkeen oli sitten perinteinen pukugaala, jossa taas esiteltiin larppeja ja niiden pukuloistoa. Täälläkin kaikkea hienoa taas.
Gaala meni oikeestaan kaikkien niiden muiden ohjelmien päälle mitä oisin halunnu nähdä. Ainoa luento mille ehdin oli vähän samaa aihetta kuin perjantaina, "Historian epäonnistuneimmat matkat". Luennoitsija oli sama joka piti viime vuonna luennon hulluista hallitsijoista. Tämäkin oli hauska ja hyvä luento, jolla opimme että tutkimusmatka voi mennä pieleen jos 1. Et tiedä minne olet menossa  2. Et vaan osaa 3. kiipeät Mount Everestille 4. Syöt huskeja.
Luennon jälkeen mentiin Dinon kanssa kattelemaan tanssiaisia. Setissä oli tulossa pari tanssia mitkä halusin päästä tanssimaan. Nyt kun oikeesti niitä osasinkin kiitos cosplaytanssiaisten! Välissä meinattiin käydä kuuntelemassa Merirosvo-luentoa, mutta siellä oli tosi huono kuuluvuus kun toinen kajari oli rikki et lähettiin aika nopsaan pois. Sitten oikeastaan vietin loppu illan tanssiaisissa niin kauan kun ne kesti. Pääsin tanssimaan melkeen kaikki tanssit mitä halusinkin, pari jäi välistä. Juhan kanssa myös käytiin vetämässä pari kierrosta Pornopolkkaa taas : D Tanssiaiet oli tosi kivat, menen kyllä uudestaankin! \o/ Tällä kertaa ei ollu yhtään sellanen fiilis että jaksaisin mennä Discolarppiin hyppimään.
Tanssiaisten jälkeen pelattiin kaverin kanssa Avalonia. Paras idea pelata peliä joka vaatii ajattelua kello 2 yöllä! Päästiin lähteämään joskus kolmen jälkeen, ja nukkumaan pääsin vasta joskus puol viis kun huonekaverit riehu :'D

Satutday we arrived to Diplo around 1 pm. It was hard finding a free table from the gaming hall but we managed to get half. On the other half someone had left their luggage etc all their stuff and since the owner didn't show up for a long time we were like "fuck it" and just moved them on windowsill and conquered the whole table. At some point the owner came to pick something from his stuff but still left them there and didn't say anything about that we had moved them. The day went by mostly by games and hanging out. Around 4 pm me and Dino went to sit in front of the Hall 1, wised up form the previous day, to wait for the Gala to begin. This was good idea as the line was even longer than with the burlesque, this came back to the second floor from the other staircase! But apparently they got everyone in. There were no chairs in the hall so it helped that more people fit in.
First performed Unreality-choir. Very nice and beautiful performance. I might have liked this even more than Another Castle at Popcult. More songs with lyrics, men giving the low voices that fit for many songs and over all more songs that touched me. They sang for example Harry Potter's theme, Misty Mountains, Japanese opening of Moomins, Rains of Castamere and many others. I admit that I might have been close to crying at few points. No, I won't! After choir was the usual dress gala that showed different larps and their costumes. They were all awesome!
The gala went on pretty much every other program I would have wanted to see. I did make it to one panel after it that had a similar theme than one on Friday, "The most unsuccesfull explorations of history". The panelist was same one that last year talked about crazy rulers. This was fun and interesting panel where we learned that your exploration can fail if 1. You don't know where you're going 2. You just don't know what to do 3. You climb on Mt. Everest 4. You eat huskys.
After the panel Dino and I went to watch the ball. There were a couple of dances on the current set that I wanted to dance. Now that I actually know some thanks to the Cosplay ball! We were about to go to see the panel about pirates, but as another speaker was broken we couldn't really hear well we left pretty quickly. I spent the evening at the ball until it ended. I got to dance almost all the dances I wanted to, only missing maybe two. Juha and I also danced few rounds of Pornopolka again : D The ball was nice, I will definitely go again! \o/ Somehow I didn't feel at all like going to Discolarp.
After the ball we played some Avalon. The best idea to play a game that requires thinking at 2 am! We got to leave after 3 am, but I didn't get to go to sleep until maybe half past 4 as my room mates were rampaging :'D

Had to stick around at least as long as there was Treasure Planet on the screen! 

Sunnuntaina ei tapahtunukkaan oikeen hirveesti mitään. Coniin tultiin vasta vähän ennen kahta, pikanen pyörähdys Kaubamajassa ja sitten pyöriskelin ettimään ihmisiä joita en ollu vielä nähny. Loppuconin istuskeltiin ja pelattiin taas, lähdin joskus neljän jälkeen koska piti vielä keretä kauppaan ja lataamaan matkakorttia.

Nothing really happened on Sunday. We came to con a bit before 2 pm, quick round at Dealer's hall and then I walked around and searched people I hadn't seen already. The rest of the con I just sat and played with others, I left some time after 4 pm as I had to go to grocery store and load some money on my bus card.

Tämä olikin sitten vika kerta kun Ropecon järjestettiin Otaniemessä :_____; Dipoli menee kesällä tosiaan remppaan ja muuttuu sen verran ettei siellä vältisti conia voi enää pitää+omistaja vaihtuu. Ens vuonna Rope järjestetään Helsingin Messukeskuksessa. Itselläni ainakin on tästä vähän negatiiviset tuntemukset ainakin tällä hetkellä. Se ei vaan jotenkin sovi tän tyyppisille tapahtumille.
Ropecon järkättiin Dipolissa 1998-2015, eli 18 vuotta. Oma conitaipaleeni alkoi sieltä, Ropecon 2006 oli mun ihka eka coni! Dipoli oli vaan niin täydellinen ;___;

This was the last time Ropecon was held in Otaniemi ;______; Dipoli will go under renovation at the summer and will change so much it's not possible to hold con there anymore+the owner changes. Next year Ropecon will be held at Helsinki Expo and Convention Center. I have quite negative feelings of this at the moment. It just doesn't fit for events like this.
Ropecon was held at Dipoli 1998-2015 meaning 18 years. My own con journey began from there, Ropecon 2006 was my very first con! Dipoli is just so perfect ;___;
Thank you Dipoli for these years! We will miss you <3

Ropecon AKA Hikicon

K animena oli aika meh, perus kauraa, mutta tykästyin tähän biisiin vikassa jaksossa. Kuuntelin sen jälkeen päin tubesta, ja vaan sulin ja sain hirveet kylmät väreet kun kajahti HOMURAn äijäkuoron ekat soinnut ilmoille~<3
K as anime was a bit meh, pretty basic, but I liked this song in the last episode. I listened it afterwards from Tube and just melted and got huge chills when the guy choir of HOMURA part started~<3

Koska kuumin Ropecon missä oon ollu. Ko. tapahtuma siis pidettiin Espoon Otaniemessä, Dipolissa, ja sen aiheina ovan roolipelit, lautapelit, fantasia, scifi ja larppaus. Ropeissa olen käynyt aina 2006 vuodesta asti (oli muuten mun eka con ikinä, woot), eikä ikinä oo näin kuuma ollu! :D Kerran on vaa yhtenä päivänä satanu (koska Jumalat suuttu kun Ropeconin päivämäärää vaihettiin) Tää on joku, et ku Desussa aina sataa, ni Ropessa on aina kesä. Mietittiin Myyn kanssa johtuukohan Desusää niinku siitä ajankohdasta, vai paikasta, et jos Desu ois niinku jossai muualla ni oisko siel parempi keli?

Mutta! Ropecon! 3 päivää täynnä hikisiä nörttejä. Jeejee!

Rope kun ei ole anime-con, niin cossia ei varsinasesti päällä ollu, koska sinne ei animecossit oikeen sovi. Toki eihän sitä missään kielletä, ja joka vuosi niitäkin näkyy ja määrä on kasvanu parina vuonna, mutta kun! Äää! (okei myönnän et ne pikku-Krista ja -Ymir oli aika söpöjä). Länäri/fantasia/OC-hahmot on enemmän Ropen juttu. Tänä vuonna ei kyllä ihan hirveesti cossaajia ollu, luultavasti kuumuuden takia.

Ropecon on muuten Suomen vanhin con, järkätty ekan kerran vuonna -94, eli 20 vuotta sitten!

(Name means Ropecon AKA Sweatcon). Since the hottest Ropecon I have ever been at. The con took place in Dipoli at Espoo's Otaniemi, and it's themes are roleplaying, board games, fantasy, scifi and larp. I have gone to Rope's since 2006 (my first con ever actually, woot) and it has never been this hot! :D Once it rained during one day (since the Gods were mad that they changed the date of Ropecon). It's some thing, that when it always rains in Desucon, Ropecon always has summer. We thought with Myy that does the Desuweather happen because of the time or the place, and if Desucon was held somewhere else would it be better weather?

But! Ropecon! 3 days of sweaty nerds. Yay!

Since Rope is not an anime con, I didn't wear cosplay, since anime cosplays doesn't really fit there. Of course, it's not forbidden, and you see cosplayers every year, their amount increasing every year, but but! Äää! (Okay I admit those little Krista and Ymir were cute) Westren/Fantasy/Oc-characters fit better there. This year there weren't many cosplayers, probably because of the hot weather.

Ropecon was by the way the oldest con in Finland, first one was held in -94, which means 20 years ago!

Dipoli

The all mighty Käpy!

Perjantaina saavuttiin isoveljeni Juhan kanssa paikalle siinä neljän aikaan. Kaverimme soitti että on siellä noin viiden minuutin päästä joten jäätiin ostarin edustan nurmikolle odottelemaan, johon ilmestyi myös Rewe. Jonkin aikaa istuttiin ja ihmetelttiin mikä kestää, kun Thomas ilmestyi takaapäin ja kertoi olleensa jonottamassa automaatille (oltiin nähty pitkä jono mutta spot check fail eikä nähty Thomasta). Valuttiin ostamaan rannekkeet ja valtaamaan pelisalista pöytä. Mie ja Rewe käytiin pyörähtämässä myyntipöydillä, aka Kaubamajassa. Ropen myyntipöydät eroaa normiconien myyntipöydistä siten, että siellä on oikeestaan vaan Genrewear, Back Street ja Fantsu, jolla ei taija montaa mangaa silläkään olla, enimmäksee vaa pelejä ja ropekirjoja, eikä muita animutavarakauppoja Sitten siellä on mm. GameWorkShop ja erinäisiä pikkukojuja jotka myy esim larppaajille proppeja ja koruja ja kirjoja. Kävin GWS'stä ostamassa pitkään himotun oman Fluxxin, Zombie version <3 Sitten mentiin takasin jätkien luo, ja jäätiin vahtimaan pöytää/tavaroita kun ne kävi kaupoilla. Jossain vaiheessa Rewe kaikkosi Kiran mukana vessahengaroimaan (koska isossa naistenvessassa oli keinutuoleja ja vähän viileempi) muutamien muiden kanssa, jonne itekin lähdin kun Juha ja Thomas tuli takasin. Sieltä löysin myös mm. Ashun jolle diilasin Japanituliaisia. 

Friday we arrived to Dipoli around 4 pm with my big brother Juha. Our friend called that he will be there in five minutes and we sat to the grass area at the mall, where also Rewe appeared. After waiting for some time we were wondering what took so long when Thomas appeared from behind, telling he had been at the line to draw out money (we had seen the long line but spot check fail and not Thomas). We went to buy the wristbands and to  conquer a table from the game hall. Me and Rewe went around the dealers' hall aka Kaubamaja. Rope's dealers' hall differ from other cons by that there are only Genrewear, Back Streer and Fantasiapelit, and it doesn't really sell manga there and more board games and roleplaying books, and no other anime stuff stores. Then there were GameWorkShop and some small booths that sold like props for larpers and jewelry and books. I bought long yearned own Fluxx from GWS, Zombie version <3 Then we went back to the guys to guard the table/stuff so that they could go to shopping. At some point Rewe disappeared with Kira to hang around in the toilet (because the big ladies room had rocking chairs and a bit cooler air) with some other people. From there I found Ashu and sold her some Japan-souvenirs.

Piakkoin olikin Kiran luennon aika, joka kertoi immersiivisestä teatterista. Luento itsessään oli "teatteria", ja ystävämme Viv ja Lotta olivat Kiran apureita. He kaksi olivat ikäänkuin ainoat paikalla, ja muu yleisö oli henkiä. Parin "ihan ku toi ovi ois käyny" ja "tuntuuks teistäki et tääl huonees ois joku" yleisö tempautui luentoon mukaan ja rupesi tekemään kaiken näköistä kepposta Kiran kertoessa aiheesta, kuten siirtelemään tuoleja ja vesipulloja ja kirjoittelemaan taululle ja kolmikko esitti että asiat liikuivat itsestään :D Se oli hauskaa seurattavaa! (Kira laitatko videon johonkin?)

Luennon jälkeen käytiin syömässä, ja istuskelemassa hetkeksi pelisalissa, ja sitten kävin kuuntelemassa Historian hämärimmät hallitsijat-luentoa. Sali tuli niin täyteen, että osa piti ajaa ulos, ja järkkäri tuli kysymään pitäisikö luennoitsija ohjelman seuraavana päivänä uudestaan isommassa salissa! Luento oli oikein mukava ja asiantunteva, ja kaikki esitellyt hallitsijat olivat täysin pöpejä. Eräs esim. teki omasta hevosestaan ensin Rooman kansalaisen, sitten ministerin ja lopulta papin ja Kaarle Kuudes Kahjo (Ranska) luuli olevansa lasia. 

Luentojen jälkeen menin sitten takaisin pelisaliin muiden luo pelailemaan joksikin aikaa, kunnes väsymys iski. Joku tollanen Essi kävi meillä myös yöpymässä, ja ehkä saatettiin esim. höpöttää Freestä <3

Soon it was time for Kira's lecture about immersive theater. The lecture itself was a theater, and our friends Viv and Lotta were Kira's assistants. The two were like only ones who came to see the lectre and the rest of the audiense were spirits. After a couple of "did that door just open" and "do you feel like there is someone here in this room" the audience got the thing and started doing all kinds of pranks, like moving chairs and bottles and writing to the board, while Kira was talking and the trio were pretending the stuff moved by themselves :D It was fun to follow. (Will it be uploaded to somewhere?)

After that we went to eat and sat at the gaming hall for sometime, and then I went to listen lecture The Shadiest rulers of History. The auditorium came so full that some people had to be driven out and a con worker came to ask if the lecturer could hold this again the following day in bigger room! The lecture was really nice and adept, and all the rulers presented were totally nuts. One for example made his horse a citizen of Rome, then a minister and in the end a priest and Kaarle Sixth the Loony (didn't round this guy's name in English) (France) thought he was made of glass. 

After the lectures I went back to the gaming hall to play games with the others for some time until I got tired. Some Essi came here to sleep, and we maybe for example talked about Free <3

Lauantaina heräsin pariminuuttia ennen 10 kun Juha soitti "oisitteks jo valmiit lähtemää?" (kaverilla joka yöpy sen luona alko työvuoro klo 10). Ööö ei, ei oltu vielä ees herätty :D Tunti annettiin aikaa, jolloin vedettiin vaatteet, peruukit, piilarit ja meikit naamaan, juuri ajoissa kun uusi soitto "mä lähen nyt tulee" tuli. Oma asuni oli larppihahmoni Lilien mekko, Kristan peruukki ja Mathildan piilarit. Tadaa! Aamupalaa ees ehitty syödä, joten suuntasin ekana kauppaan. Essi poistui omiensa seuraan. Ketään ei oikeen ollu vielä niin aikasin paikalla (Juha lähti hakemaan paria ihmistä), mutta löysin Kristiinan mahjong-pöydiltä ja lupauduin yhden erän pelaamaan. Kun lisää populaa eksy paikalle, vallattiin taas yks pöytä. Lauantai kulukin pääsääntösesti pelaillessa erinäisiä lautapelejä. Jossain vaiheessa vinkkasin Juhalle sillee "hei sähän haluisit ottaa miusta kuvia?". Pari kuvaa napsittiin, ja sitten kävin vaihtamassa normivaatteisiin (tässä vaiheessa tajusin, et ainii mähän olin unohtanu laittaa korvat, mut no, eipä mulla ois iholiiamaakaa ollu :'D). Sitten jatkoi pelailut, kunnes menin seiskalta kattomaan Pukunäytöstä. Niinkun animuconeissa on cosplaykisat, täällä esiteltiin viime vuonna pelattuja larppeja. Näytöksessä oli kadonnut Kultainen lohikäärme, jota yksi Ropen työntekijä lähti larppien maailmasta etsimään. Oli siellä myös tavan pukukisakin, mutta se oli sellanen etttä halukkaat kisaajat kävi kuvatuttamassa ittensä ja kuvat laitettiin taululle esille ja kävijät sai äänestää parasta.

Saturday I woke up a couple minutes before 10 am when Juha called "Are you ready to leave already?" (our friend's work swift had started at 10). Umm nope, we hadn't even woken up yet :D We were given an hour when we pulled on clothes, wigs, contacts and make ups just in time when next call "I'm coming now" came. My cotume was my larp character Lilie's dress, Krista's wig and Mathilda's contacts. Tadaa! We didn't have time to eat breakfast, so first I went to the food store. Essi left to meet up her friends. No one was around this early (Juha went to pick up a couple of people), but I managed to find Kristiina from mahjong tables and agreeed to play one round. When more people got there we again conquered a table. Saturday went mostly by playing different board games. At one point I winked at Juha that "you want to come take few pictures of me right?". So we took few pictures, and I went to change into normal clothes (at this moment I realized that I had forgotten ears, but oh well, I wouldn't have had skin glue anyways :'D). Then we played more, until I went to see the Costume show at 7 pm. Like anime conventions have cosplay competitions, here they presented larps from last year. In the show The Golden Dragon had been stolen, and the worker of Rpecon went to look for it from the worlds of larps. There was normal costume competition too, but it was kind of where those who wanted to enter had their pictures taken and those were put to the board and people got to vote for the best.

Näytöksen jälkeen alkoivat Ropeconin tanssijaiset ja Discolarp (siis ihan tavan iltabileet, mut koska Ropecon nii kaikki pitää larpata :'D). Monena vuonna oon ollu Discolarpissa, mutta tänä vuonna jätin välistä kun olin aiemmin viikolla ollut kipeänä ja vieläkin olu yskä jäljellä. Käytiin kattelemassa tanssiaisia (joihin oli harjotuksia pitkin päivää). Tanssiaisissa yhdessä setissä on joku 5 tanssia, ja settien välisellä tauolla PORNOPOLKKAA!!! <3 Älkää antako nimen hämätä, se on hauska tanssi :D Siinä siis pyöritään Hedningarnat Pornopolkka-biisin tahtiin. Check here! Jäin Lotan kanssa oottelemaan seuraavaa taukoa, koska Lotta halusi päästä tanssimaan ja lupauduin kuvaamaan. Rope trollas ja seuraavalla tauolla ei tullutkaan Pornopolkkaa, joten jouduttiin odottamaan toiset 20 minuuttia! D:  

Juha on varmaa joka vuos kinunu mua tanssii Pornopolkkaa sen kaa, mut aina oon jättäny välistä. Tänä vuonna sitten viimein suostuin yheks kierrokseks. Joskus ollaan musikaalissaki käytetty tätä lämmittelynä :D

Sitten mentiin vielä jokskin aikaa pelaamaan, mm. Cosmic Encounteria, paras peli ever, ja ostaan ruokaa. Lähettiin kotiin joskus puol 2 aikoihin yöllä koska död.

After the Costume Show started Ropecon's ball and Discolarp (just a normal after party, but since it's Ropecon it has to be larp :'D). Many years I have gone to the Discolarp, but this year I skipped as I had been sick earlier this week and I still had cough left. We went to see the ball (which had practice lessons during the day). In the ball there were five dances in one set, and on the break between each set was PORNOPOLKKA!! <3 Don't let the name fool you, it's very fun dance :D There you spind around in the rythym of Hedningarna's Pornopolka. Check here! I stayed to wait for the next break with Lotta, because Lotta wanted to dance and I promised to film it. Rope was trolling and the next break didn't have Pornopolkka, so we had to wait for another 20 minutes! D:

Juha has been asking me to dance Pornopolkka with him probably every year, but I have always skipped. This year I finally agreed to dance one round. We have used this dance as a warm up at musical practises as well :D

Then we went to play again for some time, for example Cosmic Encountes, best game ever, and buy food. We left home around half past 1 am because dead.

Sunnuntai-aamuna eka kiva yllätys oli aamulla lukea facebookista, että Suomi voitti NCCt! Jee! \o/ Lähettiin taas siinä 11 aikoihin, ja sama hommeli ku muinaki päivinä. Menin melkein saman tien kuuntelemaan Keisarin hyenat ja hännystelijät - Vallan rakenteet Kiinassa luentoa. Tätäkin oli mukava kuunnella ja se oli oikein asiantunteva ja hauska. Jouduin ikävä kyllä lähtemään puolessa välissä, jotta ehtisin syödä ennen kahdelta alkavaa Siipi-työpajaa. Löysin Rewen ja Kiran ja kävin ostamassa ruokaa ja kokista ja hengaroitiin hetki (olen kuulemma nykyään pyhimys, selkis).

Työpajassa ei itse siipiä päästy rakentamaan, koska pitäjän mukaan siihen menisi osaavalta 16 tuntia. Hän näytti Powerpoint esityksen miten tälläiset nivelelliset siivet voi tehdä, ja sitten kaikki sai itse tehdä tälläiset liivit joilla siivet saa helposti, mukavasti ja tukevasti selkään, koska se on useimmiten se murheenkryyni (Reta tästä ois ollu sulle hyötyy muutama kuukaus sitten!). 

Pajan jälkeen etin käsiini muut ihmiset, ja  löysin Rewen ja Lauran jotka taas jakelivat Pokémon-musikaali lappusia. Jäätiin juttelemaan yhen ilmesesti järjestäjistä kanssa joka kertoi järkyttäviä asioita että Ropecon tapahtuisi ensi vuonna ehkä Tampereella! D8 (Dipoli menee Lauran mukaan kesällä remonttiin). Sanottiin että toivottavasti sitten vaihtavat myös aikaa, niinkun kuulemma tekevätkin, koska muuten on Rope ja Tracon kuukauden sisään samassa talossa. Piakkoin tämän jälkeen lähdettiin kotia kohti, kun coni oli loppumassa ja ihmiset alko kaikota.

Sunday morning first nice surprise was when I read from facebook that Finland had won NCC! Yay! \o/

We left again around 11 am, and same thing as other days. I went to listen to The Emperor's hyenas and followers - Power structures in China lecture almost right away. This one too was nice to listen and it was really adept and fun. Unfortunately I had to leave so that I have time to eat before I go to Wing-workshop. I found Rewe and Kira and went to buy food and Coke and hanged around for a while (I found out I'm a Saint now, okay.)

In the workshop we didn't get to make the wings themselves since the holder of it said it takes 16 from a person who know how to do it. She showed a PowerPoint-presentation how to make wings with joint and then we got to make vest with which you can get the wings to your back easily, comfortalby and steadily, which usually is the biggest problem.

After the workshop I went to look for people, found Rewe and Laura who were handing Pokémon musical papers again. We talked to one con organizer apparently who told us shocking things that Ropecon might be held in Tampere next year! D8 (According to Laura Dipoli will be under renovation next summer). We told him that hopefully they also change the time too, because otherwise there will be Rope and Tracon in a month from each others in the same house. Soon after this we left home as the con was about to end and people were leaving.

A stick for 15 euros!

Rope oli jälleen muksa con, ainoa miinus oli tuo paahtava kuumuus. Vaikken oikeestaa enää kuulu varsinaisesti kohdeyleisöön, en oo ropettanu monee vuotee ja larppaan silleen säännöllisen epäsäännöllisesti ehkä kerran vuodessa jos sitäkään, Ropeen meneminen on must, ja jotenkin sen lipun hintojen nousu ei kirpase ihan niin paljoo ku tyylii Desuconin (no okei kyl 28 euroo silti kirpasee). Ropen kävijäkunta on huomattavasti vanhempaa kun muissa coneissa, ja ihmisillä on mukana jälkikasvua (en kyl tajuu miks joku ottaa n. 1 v vauvan mukaa conii?). Tänä vuonna kävin harvinaisen monessa ohjelmassa, yleensä se on max yks :D Ropessa on myös parhaiten järjestetty esim. kävijöiden ruokinta. Parkkiksella on muutamia ruokakojuja, tänä vuonna joukkoon lisääntyi Subway, ja ostarilla on vielä grilli ja Alepa pitää conin aikaan ovet auki 24 h vuorokaudessa. Näistä vois muutki conit ottaa oppia (esim Sibben viereine marketti)!

Rope was again nice con, only minus was the overhelming hotness. Even though I don't really belong to the target audience, I haven't played roleplay games for many years and I larp regularly unregularly maybe once a year if even that, going to Ropecon is must, and for some reson rise of it's ticket's price doesn't hurt so badly as for ecxample Desucon's (okay 28 euros from con ticket hurts). People at Rope are older than at other cons, and they bring their offsprings there (but I don't get why to take 1 year old baby to con?).  This year I went to see rarely many programs, usually it's max 1 :'D Rope has arranged feeding it's visitors the best. Parking lot has few food booths, which had increased by Subway this year, and the mall has one grill and Alepa keeps its doors open 24 hours a day. Other cons could learn from these too (like the market next to Sibeliustalo)!
