Desucon 2015 - Friday

Ai Desucon? Ai ohi jo vai? Mitä?

Viikonloppu hujahti älyttömän nopeesti! Tuntuu että vastahan se coni alko : D Conidarra on kova  ja itken kun on ikävä ihania ihmisiä, eikä siihen yhtään auta et näin just koiraa ulkoiluttaessa ku toho lähistölle tuli auto täynnä cossi- ja anime tavaraa.

Desuun lähdin ekaa kertaa autolla niin että olin ite kuskina. Jänskää! Tosin se oli vähän vielä viikolla epävarmaa, koska keskiviikkona äiti soitti: "joo tota volvon oven lukko on rikki..." FFFFFF--- onneks iskä sai sen korjattua. Lähdin matkaan Kenjin ja Myyn kanssa ajoissa että ehitään ennen ruuhkia Lahteen. Retkeämme yrittivät haitata lukuiset rekat ja hitaat ajoneuovot. Myytä haettaessa meidän edessä kulki melkeen koko matkan motarilta poistumisen jälkeen joku vitun traktori.

Noh, päästiin saapumaan Lahteen joskus kahden jälkeen, jätin auton Sibbelle josta matkakumppanini hakivat työvoimabadgensa, pikasesti moikattiin Retaa ja sitten kaupan kautta Dinolle, jossa taas majoituimme. Nopsaan söin ja aloin vetää cossia päälle, sillä olin sopinut meneväni neljäksi shoottaamaan KikiGabriellan Kisumi-cossia. Sain meikit naamaan jotenki ennätysvauhdissa ja sit kuulu ku Dino ja Nita alko tekee lähtöä ja olin sillee "OOTTAKAA MUA!" ja vedin vaatteet ja peruukin päähän sillee viidessä minuutissa : D en ees ehtiny kattoo kunnolla peilistä miltä näytän (oliko tuolla ees kokovartalopeiliä, nyt en ees kyl tiiä). Kävin heittämässä tavarat kirppikselle, menin ulos oottelemaan ja vaihdoin lipun rannekkeeksi. Törmäsin myös Pörröön ja Kurttuun ja pölistiin kunnes shootti(uhrini)toverini saapui.

Laitan tähän nyt pari omaa lemppari kuvaa, käykää Kikiltä kattomassa niitä sitten enemmän! En editoiny näitä ollenkaa koska olen laiska.Yritettiin ottaa myös jotain pari kuvia kameran itselaukasijalla, mut no, ei ei ihan onnistunu : D tai siis näyttää ne iha kivoilta mut ne pitkälti kaikki o blurreja.

Oh Desucon? Over already? What?

The weekend flew past super fast! It feels like the con just started : D I have a huge con hangover and I'm crying because I miss all the lovely people and it didn't help that while walking my dog I saw a car here nearby full of cosplay and anime stuff.

For the first time I drove myself to the con. Exciting! Although it was a bit unsure whether I get the car as on Wednesday my mom called: "yeeeah the lock of the car's door is broken.." FFFFFF-- luckily my dad fixed it in time. I left with Kenji and Myy early so that we'd get to Lahti before the rush hours. Our adventure was slowed down with trucks and other slowly moving vehicles. While we were on the way to get Myy some fucking tractor drove in front of us veeery slowly whole way ever since we got off the high way.

Well we got to Lahti a bit after two and I left the car to Sibeliustalo from where my travelling companions went to get their worker badges and we quickly said hi to Reta and went to Dino's place where we stayed for the con again. I ate quickly and started putting on my costume as I had promised to photoshoot KikiGabriella's Kisumi costume. I got my make up on in oddly short time and then I heard as Dino and Nita were about to leave and was like "WAIT FOR ME!" and pulled on the costume and the wig like in five minutes :'D I didn't really even take a good look on how I looked from the mirror (I don't really even know if there was whole body mirror). I threw my stuff to the flea market, went outside to wait and to change my ticket to the wristband. I bumped into Pörrö and Kurttu and talked with them until my shooting victim partner showed up.

Jouduttiin vielä hetki oottelemaan että ovet aukee klo 17. Löysin ihmiset ja mentiin kattomaan avajaisia. Sitten jonkin aikaa pyörimistä ja yritettiin Pörrön ja Kurtun kaa päästä kattomaan Cosplay Tour Europen esitystä. Oltiin ajoissa, varmaa kakskytä minuuttii ennen, mutta sali tuli tosi täyteen (se oltiin laitettuu siihen pienimpään huoneeseen! >_< ), osa päätti siirrellä pöytiä et saa enemmän istumatilaa, ja sit JV:t tuli häätää kaikki lattialla istuvat ulos. Arvatkaa oltiinko lattialla,,, Ehkä se ainoo ohjelma mitä koko conissa oisin oikeesti kisojen lisäks halunnu nähä ;_; toivottavasti se julkastais jossain pian!

Jälleen pyörimistä, törmäsin Kataan joka ilmotti et meijän huomisen paricossi oliki muuttunu ryhmäks ku se oli värvänny meille lisää jengiä : D jee! Hengailtii muutamien näiden tyyppien kanssa ja Elemmire tuli paikalle ja kysy halutaanko shoottimaan ja todettii että miksipä ei! Ulkona tuuli kovaa mutta oli kivaa otella kuvia :> Otin ite vähän "behind the scene" tyyppisiä otoksia ja Ellu nappas munki cossista pari kuvaa. En nyt jaksanu ootella niitä, laitan sitten ku teen Magi-shootista postauksen (katotaanko vaa ni saan ne tänää). Saanko muuten hehkuttaa et mulla ei ollu Goun peruukissa YHTÄÄN pinniä! Ja se pysy! Ei valunu ollenkaa! Paitsi vähä illalla. Mut ei puhuta siitä. Olen iloinen. Ja hämmentynyt. 

Sitten oikeestaan taisin lähteä Dinon kanssa takasin kämpille koska väsy. Käytiin saunassa ja jutskailtiin kunnes muut tuli. Taisin päästä nukkumaa joskus yhen jälkee.

We had to wait still for a while before the doors opened at 5 pm. I found some people and we went to see the opening ceremony. Then there was some random hanging around and me, Pörrö and Kurttu tried to get to see the Cosplay Tour Europe's document. We were early, maybe like twenty minutes before it started, but the room came so full (it was held in the smallest program room! >_< ) and some people decided t move the tables so that there were more sitting space and then guards came to tell that everyone sitting on the floor leave. Guess were we on the floor... This was maybe the only program besides the cosplay contest that I really would have wanted to see ;_; I hope they publish it somewhere soon!
After this hanging around, I met with Kata who informed me that our pair cosplay had evolved into a group as she had got us more people : D Yaay! We hanged some of these guys and Elemmire came up and asked if we wanted to photoshoot and we said why not! It was very windy outside but it was fun taking pictures :> I took some behind the scene pictures and Elemmire also snapped few photos of my cosplay. I was too lazy to wait for them so I'll just put them when I'll do separate post of Magi-shoot. Can I just brag that I didn't have ANY hair pins on my Gou wig! And it stayed! It didn't try to fall off! Exept little at the evening. But let's not talk about that. I am happy. And confused.
After that me and Dino started heading back to her place because we were tired. Went to sauna and talked until others came. I think I got to the bed at after 1 am.

Desucon plans + yo-tarjoiluja

Eilen alkoi se mitä kaikki opiskelijat odottavat aina joululoman lopusta asti: kesäloma. Paitsi mulla! Meillä on koulua vielä seuraavat kaks viikkoa, koska aikuisopisto. Noh, koulua on onneks vaan se kolme päivää viikossa, mutta jotenki tuntuu oudolta mennä Desun jälkee vielä kouluu!

Eipä sillä että mulla lomaa ois muutenkaa koska heti koulun loputtua alkaa työt. Muutaman vuoron olen tuolla jo käyny harjottelemassa, mutta kohta alkaa se kunnon putki kun neljä vakkaria on samaan aikaan lomalla : D on siellä onneks vissii muitaki kesätyöntekijöitä.

Lauantaina myös monen koulu tuli päätökseen, muun muassa meidän suvusta pikkuserkkuni ja serkun poika (onko tälle jotain sukulaisnimikettä? ei kai) kirjoittivat ylioppilaiksi. Jälkimmäisen juhliin lupauduin tekemään osan tarjoiluista.

Yesterday started what all the students wait since ending of the winter vaction: summer vacation. Except for me! We have school still for two weeks, because adult education. Well, we only have school for three days every week, but it feels really weird to go to school still after Desucon!

Not that I have much of a vacation anyways since after school ends I'll start at work. I have done few shifts there already as a practice, but after that will start the actual thing as there will be four regulars on vacation at the same time : D there will be other summer workers too gladly. 

On Saturday many student's school journey came to an end, from our family my second cousin and my cousin's son (is there any name for this relation? I guess not) graduated from high school. I promised to bake some stuff to the latter's party.

En itse eilen noihin juhliin päässyt koska olin töissä, mutta serkku kutsu tänään "rääppijäisiin" koska ruokaa oli jääny niin paljon : D
Desuconin jo koputta kohta ovella. Yksi asu oli varma, mutta muut oli pitkään kysymysmerkillä. Pitkän pohdinnan jälkeen päädyin näihin.

Kun kerranki kerkeen paikalle ajoissa, aattelin laittaa cossin päälle jo perjantaina! Gou on kivan simppeli, ja koulupukua en oo käyttäny sitten 2014 Yukin. Tarvii vaan kaivaa asu kellarista ja kattoo missä kunnossa se on. Ja pääsen käyttää uutta mun peruukkia <3

Since I get to go to Lahti already early I thought I'd actually wear cosplay already on Friday! Gou is pretty simple, and I haven't used the school uniform since Yukicon 2014. I just need to get the outfit from basement and check it's condition. And I get to wear my new wig <3

Hanami+Ropecon 2015

Heips!

Viime torstaina tosiaan oli jälleen Hanami Helsingissä, Roihuvuoren kirsikkapuistossa. En oo pariin vuoteen taas Hanamissa käyny, joten nytpä päätin pitkästä aikaa käydä. Oli tarkotus cossata Gouta koulupuvussa siellä, mutta aamulla lämpömittaria kattoessa totesin et "joo ei". Sitten kävi mielessä kerhoasu, mutta muistin että olin just heittäny housut likapyykkiin koska biojätepussi hajos niiden päälle.. Koska kumminkin oli takkikeli nii eipä sitä ois cossista hirveesti ollu iloa, joten menin ihan kasuaalina. 

Heti aamusta homma kusi, koska olin jotenki sählänny Reittioppaan kanssa ja kattonu aikataulut väärin (helatorstai ja sunnuntai aikataulut prkl) joten jouduttiin odottamaan pysäkillä aika kauan Neeneen kanssa. Päästiin sitten kumminkin suht koht aikataulussa keskustaan, jossa oltiin sovittu että napataan Dino matkaan. Siitä sitten metrolla Herttoniemeen, jossa oli perin pitkä jono bussiin. Päätettiin suosiolla kävellä, matka kumminkaan ei ollu pitkä.
Ihmisten löytäminen oli sitten oma ongelmansa, kun populaa tuolla oli niin maan vietävästi! Mutta onnistuttiin, ja oikeestaan vaan istuskeltiin ja juteltiin kaverien kanssa se pari tuntia kun tuolla oltiin. Mutta oli kivaa ja Sanni oli tehny tosi hyvää toscakakkua! Ja siellä oli hirveesti söpöjä koiruja ;__; (tuli heti ikävä Miikua). Pieni sadekaan ei haitannu kun se ei kestäny kauaa. Käytiin Dinon ja Visan kanssa kävelemässä puiston ympäri ja sosiaalisoitiin vähän lisää, sittenpä aika pian lähettiin Neeneen kanssa jatkamaan sen cossia.

Last Thursday was again Hanami at Helsinki, at Roihuvuori's cherry garden. I haven't been there for a couple of years now so I decided to go. I was supposed to cosplay Gou in her school uniform, but when I looked at the thermometer I was like "nnope."Then I thought her club uniform but remembered her pants were dirty as bio bag had broken on them previous day.. Well, since the weather was so cold you still needed jacket there wouldn't have been much joy from costume so I just went in casuals.

Things screwed right in the morning as I had messed something with bus schedules (because it was Ascension Day and the buses went with Sunday times = not so many buses) and we had to wait quite awhile at the bus stop with Neenee. Well we got to Helsinki pretty much on the schedule where we had agreed to meet Dino. From there by subway to Herttoniemi and there we came across with huge line at the bus stop. We decided to walk since it wasn't long way to the garden.
Finding people was a problem of its own as there were so freaking much people there! But we succeeded, and basically just sat and talked with friends that a couple of hours we were there. But I had lots of fun and Sanni had made delicious tosca cake! And there were so many cute dogs ;__; (I started to miss Miiku). A little rain didn't really bother as it lasted so short time. I went to walk around the park with Dino and Visa and socialized some more and then me and Neenee left pretty soon to carry on with her cosplay.

Ainii! Alpakka sai viimein nimen. Neenee nimes sen; Erkka Erwin Erireilujätkä. Sille piti tulla joku Shingeki-tyylinen nimi, ja kuulemma ekana tosta tuli mieleen Erwin (miten?!), joka sitten kääntyi Erkaksi. Tästä syntyi paljon huumoria viikonlopun aikana koska meillä on Erkka-niminen kaveri : D

Oh yeah! The Alpaca finally got a name. Neenee named it: Erkka Erwin Erireilujätkä (= very fair guy). He was supposed to get some Shingeki-style name, and apparently first that came in her mind from that was Erwin (how!?) which then translated into Erkka. This brought lots of humor during the weekend as we have a friend named Erkka : D

Sit se Ropecon. Jälleen kerran tie vei Otaniemen Dipoliin nörttäilemään viikonlopuksi. Perjantaina saavuin paikalle veljeni Juhan ja kaverimme Jonesin kanssa joskus neljän paikkeilla. Ihan ekana Kaubamajaan tsekkaamaan mitä on tarjolla, ja heti melkeen itkin kun näin sen uuden ison pehmolelukojun! Niiiiin paljon kaikkee ihanaa ;_; Mm Free- ja SnK-pehmoja!! Ei niitä oo missää muualla ollu! Tahdon. Onneks siellä ei ollu mun lempparihahmoja kummastakaa, ni sain itseni pidettyä kurissa. En ees uskaltanu kysyy paljo ne makso :'D Ostin kyllä uuden lompakon, joka oli ollu suunnitelmissa jo pidempään mutta ei ollu löytynu mitää kivaa. Ai joo ja Free!-pinssin. Tulen roolipelitapahtumaan ja ostan animekrääsää, tirsk.
Pelailtiin pari erää Carcassonea Myyn ja Dinon kanssa, ja tais siihen Kenji ja Neeneeki liittyä jossai kohassa. Muuten ilta meni sitten luennoilla istuessa. Ekana kävin kuuntelemassa "Kuuluisia myrkytyksiä"-luennon. Siinä kerrottiin historiassa tapahtuneista suuremmanluokkaisista myrkytyksistä, osa tahallisia ja osa vahingossa tapahtuneita. Ihan jees luento, en tiiä, ehkä jotain tää ois kaivannu lisää, jokin mua häiritsi siinä mutten osaa sanoa mikä : D Tämän jälkeen oli vuorossa hitusen mielenkiintoisempi luento historian harharetkistä. Tässä käytiin läpi tunnettuja tutkimusmatkoja ja -matkaajia, ja pohdittiin miten näitä retkiä pystyisi soveltamaan peleissä. Vaikken olekkaan oikeastaan roolipelaaja, esimerkit olivat hyviä ja luento oli muutenkin hyvä. (pahoittelen hyvin epämääräsistä kuvauksista, oon vaan jo onnistunu unohtamaan näiden sisällön viikonlopun aikana l'D).
Joskus vähän ennen klo 23 oltais menty oottelemaan että päästäis näkemään Game of Thrones-burleski esitys, mutta jono oli niin pitkä (rakennuksen toiseen päähän asti), että päätettiin suosiolla jättää välistä kun oletettiin ettei mahuta sisään ja mentiin pelaamaan. Ilmeisesti sinne sit ois kumminki mahtunu (Dipolin iso sali vetää maagisen paljon porukkaa), mutta kuulemani mukaan esitys ei ollut ihan odotusten mukainen.
Viimeisenä luentona sitten oli "Matkalla tuhoon - kuinka valtakunnat sortuvat". Tässä vaiheessa olin jo kyllä aika väsynyt (luento alko klo 0.00) ja päänsärkykin alkoi pikkuhiljaa hiipiä esiin, ja mietin jo että lähtisin pois, kun sitten sopivasti tuli Myylle viesti että meijän posse ois lähdössä. Se pätkä mikä ehdittiin kuuntelemaan niin vaikutti kyllä ihan mielenkiintoselta. Yövyin Juhan luona muutaman muun kanssa jottei tarvinnu olla yksin kotona eikä sen koukkailla hakemaan mua. Hetken aikaa pälätettiin ja syötiin ja sitten aika pian mentiin nukkumaan.

Then Ropecon. Once again our paths lead us to Dipoli of Otaniemi to nerd for the weekend. On Friday I arrived there with my big brother Juha and friend Jones around 4 pm. First to Dealer's Hall to see what they had to offer, and almost directly I wanted to cry when I saw this new big plushie stall! Sooo much cute stuff ;_; For example Free! and SnK plushies!! They don't sell them much in any con. Do want. Thank god they didn't have any of my favourite characters so I could hold myself back. I didn't even dare to ask how much they cost :'D I did buy a new walled though, as I have been thinking of that for a while now but haven't found anything nice. Oh and Free!-badge. I come to role playing convention and buy anime junk, tshihi.
I played some Carcassone with Myy and Dino and Kenji and Neenee joined us at some point too. Other wise Friday evening went mostly on by sitting at panels. First one was "Popular poisonings". Here the panelist told about bigger poisoning incidents in history, both intentional and unintentional. Pretty okay, but I don't know, would have needed something more, something bothered me but I can't name it : D After this was a bit more interesting panel about odysseys in history. Panelist told about known explorations and explorers and gave examples on how these could be apply into games. Even though I'm not really a roleplayer, the both examples good and I liked the panel itself. (I apologize for these vague descriptions but I have just some how already forgotten what was in these panels l'D)
Some time before 11 pm we were about to go to wait to get to see Game of Thrones-burlesque performance, but the line was so long (went to another end of the building) that we decided not to since we were sure we wouldn't fit in and went to play games. Apparently everybody fitted in and there were even empty spaces (Dipoli's big hall fits magically huge amount of people) but what I heard the performance wasn't as good as expected.
Last panel I attended was "On the way to destruction - how empires fall". At this point I was already so tired as it began at midnight and felt like getting a head ace, and was about to leave in the middle of the panel when Myy got a message from our friend that our group was about to leave. But the part we heard was interesting. I stayed night at Juha's place with some of our friends so I wouldn't need to be alone at home and he wouldn't have to pick me up every day. We talked for a while and ate and pretty soon went to sleep.

Lauantaina päästiin paikalle joskus yhden aikaan. Pelisalista pöydän löytäminen oli haastavaa, mutta onnistuttiin saamaan puolikas. Toiselle puolelle joku oli jättäny matkalaukkunsa yms kaikki tavaransa, ja kun omistajia ei pitkään aikaan kuulunu, todettiin vaan "fuck it" ja nostettiin ne ikkunalaudalle ja vallattiin loput pöydästä. Jossain vaiheessa se niitä tuli kaivelemaan ja otti sieltä pari asiaa, mutta jätti kumminki ja lähti ite eikä sanonu mitää että oltii niitä siirrelty. Päivä meni päästääntösesti pelatessa ja hengaillessa oikeestaan. Joskus neljän aikaan mentiin Dinon kanssa edellispäivästä viisastuneina mentiin jo Sali 1:en eteen istuskelemaan ja oottelemaan Gaalan alkua. Tämä kannatti nimittäin tää jono muodostu vielä pidemmäks ku se burleskijono, koska tää tuli takasi kakkoskerrokseen toisista portaista! Mutta ilmeisesti kaikki silti saatiin sisään. Salissa ei ollu tuoleja, eli toki seki autto että enemmän ihmisiä mahtuu.
Ensimmäisenä esiinty Unreality-kuoro. Erittäin hieno ja kaunis esitys. Tykkäsin näiden esityksesti ehkä vielä hitusen enemmän ku Another Castlesta Popcultissa. Enemmän biisejä jossa oli sanoja, plus näillä oli myös miehiä antamassa niitä matalia ääniä jotka sopi tiettyihin biiseihin, ja muutenki enemmän semmosia jotka kosketti itseä. Lauloivat mm. Harry Potterin tunnarin, Misty Mountainsin, Muumien japaninkielisen alkutunnarin, Rains of Castameren ja palon muuta. Myönnän että parissa kohtaa meinasi itku tulla. Ei, en myönnä! Kuoron jälkeen oli sitten perinteinen pukugaala, jossa taas esiteltiin larppeja ja niiden pukuloistoa. Täälläkin kaikkea hienoa taas.
Gaala meni oikeestaan kaikkien niiden muiden ohjelmien päälle mitä oisin halunnu nähdä. Ainoa luento mille ehdin oli vähän samaa aihetta kuin perjantaina, "Historian epäonnistuneimmat matkat". Luennoitsija oli sama joka piti viime vuonna luennon hulluista hallitsijoista. Tämäkin oli hauska ja hyvä luento, jolla opimme että tutkimusmatka voi mennä pieleen jos 1. Et tiedä minne olet menossa  2. Et vaan osaa 3. kiipeät Mount Everestille 4. Syöt huskeja.
Luennon jälkeen mentiin Dinon kanssa kattelemaan tanssiaisia. Setissä oli tulossa pari tanssia mitkä halusin päästä tanssimaan. Nyt kun oikeesti niitä osasinkin kiitos cosplaytanssiaisten! Välissä meinattiin käydä kuuntelemassa Merirosvo-luentoa, mutta siellä oli tosi huono kuuluvuus kun toinen kajari oli rikki et lähettiin aika nopsaan pois. Sitten oikeastaan vietin loppu illan tanssiaisissa niin kauan kun ne kesti. Pääsin tanssimaan melkeen kaikki tanssit mitä halusinkin, pari jäi välistä. Juhan kanssa myös käytiin vetämässä pari kierrosta Pornopolkkaa taas : D Tanssiaiet oli tosi kivat, menen kyllä uudestaankin! \o/ Tällä kertaa ei ollu yhtään sellanen fiilis että jaksaisin mennä Discolarppiin hyppimään.
Tanssiaisten jälkeen pelattiin kaverin kanssa Avalonia. Paras idea pelata peliä joka vaatii ajattelua kello 2 yöllä! Päästiin lähteämään joskus kolmen jälkeen, ja nukkumaan pääsin vasta joskus puol viis kun huonekaverit riehu :'D

Satutday we arrived to Diplo around 1 pm. It was hard finding a free table from the gaming hall but we managed to get half. On the other half someone had left their luggage etc all their stuff and since the owner didn't show up for a long time we were like "fuck it" and just moved them on windowsill and conquered the whole table. At some point the owner came to pick something from his stuff but still left them there and didn't say anything about that we had moved them. The day went by mostly by games and hanging out. Around 4 pm me and Dino went to sit in front of the Hall 1, wised up form the previous day, to wait for the Gala to begin. This was good idea as the line was even longer than with the burlesque, this came back to the second floor from the other staircase! But apparently they got everyone in. There were no chairs in the hall so it helped that more people fit in.
First performed Unreality-choir. Very nice and beautiful performance. I might have liked this even more than Another Castle at Popcult. More songs with lyrics, men giving the low voices that fit for many songs and over all more songs that touched me. They sang for example Harry Potter's theme, Misty Mountains, Japanese opening of Moomins, Rains of Castamere and many others. I admit that I might have been close to crying at few points. No, I won't! After choir was the usual dress gala that showed different larps and their costumes. They were all awesome!
The gala went on pretty much every other program I would have wanted to see. I did make it to one panel after it that had a similar theme than one on Friday, "The most unsuccesfull explorations of history". The panelist was same one that last year talked about crazy rulers. This was fun and interesting panel where we learned that your exploration can fail if 1. You don't know where you're going 2. You just don't know what to do 3. You climb on Mt. Everest 4. You eat huskys.
After the panel Dino and I went to watch the ball. There were a couple of dances on the current set that I wanted to dance. Now that I actually know some thanks to the Cosplay ball! We were about to go to see the panel about pirates, but as another speaker was broken we couldn't really hear well we left pretty quickly. I spent the evening at the ball until it ended. I got to dance almost all the dances I wanted to, only missing maybe two. Juha and I also danced few rounds of Pornopolka again : D The ball was nice, I will definitely go again! \o/ Somehow I didn't feel at all like going to Discolarp.
After the ball we played some Avalon. The best idea to play a game that requires thinking at 2 am! We got to leave after 3 am, but I didn't get to go to sleep until maybe half past 4 as my room mates were rampaging :'D

Had to stick around at least as long as there was Treasure Planet on the screen! 

Sunnuntaina ei tapahtunukkaan oikeen hirveesti mitään. Coniin tultiin vasta vähän ennen kahta, pikanen pyörähdys Kaubamajassa ja sitten pyöriskelin ettimään ihmisiä joita en ollu vielä nähny. Loppuconin istuskeltiin ja pelattiin taas, lähdin joskus neljän jälkeen koska piti vielä keretä kauppaan ja lataamaan matkakorttia.

Nothing really happened on Sunday. We came to con a bit before 2 pm, quick round at Dealer's hall and then I walked around and searched people I hadn't seen already. The rest of the con I just sat and played with others, I left some time after 4 pm as I had to go to grocery store and load some money on my bus card.

Tämä olikin sitten vika kerta kun Ropecon järjestettiin Otaniemessä :_____; Dipoli menee kesällä tosiaan remppaan ja muuttuu sen verran ettei siellä vältisti conia voi enää pitää+omistaja vaihtuu. Ens vuonna Rope järjestetään Helsingin Messukeskuksessa. Itselläni ainakin on tästä vähän negatiiviset tuntemukset ainakin tällä hetkellä. Se ei vaan jotenkin sovi tän tyyppisille tapahtumille.
Ropecon järkättiin Dipolissa 1998-2015, eli 18 vuotta. Oma conitaipaleeni alkoi sieltä, Ropecon 2006 oli mun ihka eka coni! Dipoli oli vaan niin täydellinen ;___;
Kiitos Dipoli näistä vuosista! Jäämme kaipaamaan sinua <3

This was the last time Ropecon was held in Otaniemi ;______; Dipoli will go under renovation at the summer and will change so much it's not possible to hold con there anymore+the owner changes. Next year Ropecon will be held at Helsinki Expo and Convention Center. I have quite negative feelings of this at the moment. It just doesn't fit for events like this.
Ropecon was held at Dipoli 1998-2015 meaning 18 years. My own con journey began from there, Ropecon 2006 was my very first con! Dipoli is just so perfect ;___;
Thank you Dipoli for these years! We will miss you <3

WIP: Aladdin+Margaery

Tällä viikolla on taas tullu pakerrettua cosseja. Vanhoja ja uusia.

Tiistaina kävin Neeneen kanssa hakemassa ilmasta kokista Narnikkatorilta E-kankaassa ostamassa sen cossiin kankaat, ja ostin samalla Aladdinille uuden vyökankaan, Margaeryn vetskarin ja Kaorun viittakankaan. 

Ekan vyön tein Aladdinille Kouhan jämäkankaista, mutta päätin ostaa vähän sopivamman väristä ja kevyempää kangasta. Nyt siitä tuli parempi. Jouduin tekemään sen kumminkin kahdesta osasta koska kangas oli sellasta joka leikattiin "väärin päin" (poikittain?) jolloin olisin joutunu ostamaan ihan hirveesti liikaa jos olisin yhdestä pituudesta halunnu. Mutta nyt saan sidottua ton silleen aika kivasti :>  Toinen suikale tulee vyötärölle ja toisesta tehdään se solmu+roikkuva osa (termit.com)

Oon tehny myös sen sen otsakiviasuan Fimosta. Se odottelee vielä lakkaa päälle ja on sitten valmis. Vielä pitäis keksiä miten sen kiinnitän peruukkiin o_o klipsipinni ei toimi.

I have been working on cosplays again during this week. New and old ones

On Tuesday we went to get free Coke from Narnikkatori Eurokangas with Neenee to buy fabrics for her cosplay and I also bought Aladdin's new sash fabric, Margaery's zipper and cape fabric for Kaoru.

First sash for Aladdin I made from left overs of Kouha but I decided to buy a bit better shade and lighter fabric. Now it's better. I had to make it from two pieces though, since the fabric was cut like "wrong direction" (crosswise?) so I would have had bought way too much extra if I had wanted it from one piece. But now I can tie it pretty nicely : > another part comes to the waist and another makes the knot+flowing part (terms.com)

I have also done the gem for his forehead. It's now waiting to be sprayed and then it's ready. Now I only need to figure out how to attach it to my wig o_o normal hair clip doesn't work.

Sitten olikin vuorossa operaatio turbaani. Löysin netistä aika kivan tuton jota hyödynsin. Siinä turbaani tehtiin lippiksen päälle. En ihan suoraan sen mukaan tehnyt, ihan vaan koska mun kangas oli epämääräsinä paloina eikä pitkänä pätkänä :'D 

Then was the operation turban. I found nice tutorial from internet that I used. In that the turban was made over a cap. I didn't use the tuto directly all the time as my fabric was in random pieces and not in one big piece :'D

No, I really didn't find anything better than a screaming yellow cap.

 Ekaksi siis leikattiin lippiksestä lippa irti, jonka jälkeen kangas liimattiin sen päälle. Mun kangas oli kaksin kerroin, koska noh, keltanen vähän paisto valkosesta läpi kun oli vaan yks :'D Sitten toisesta kangassuikaleesta kiedoin sen reuna-asian ja liimasin kiinni. Tuli taas muistettua että kuumaliima on kuumaa. Jos joku miettii mikä toi valkonen juttu tossa hatun päällä on, niin leikkasin sen nupin mikä noissa usein on irti ja siihen jäi semmonen metalli osa, nii peitin sen ettei törröttäis tai tulis kankaasta läpi.

First you cut the visor out of the cap and after that glue the fabric on it. I had double layer of fabric since well, the yellow leaked quite well trough when it was just one :'D Then from another fabric piece I wrapped the thing on the hem and glues it on. Again I was reminded that hot glue is hot. If someone wonders what that white part on the hat is, I cut the knob those hats usually have off and it left a metal part there so I covered it so that it wouldn't come trough the fabric.

Ja valmista tuli! Oon ihan tyytyväinen tohon, hirveesti ei näy mitää sotkuja ja liimaklönttejä missään. Ehkä ompelen tohon vielä semmosen peruukkiklipsin varmuudeks, vähän tuntu sellaselta että jos yhtää enempää tuulee saattaa lähtee päästä : D

And ready! I'm pretty happy with this, there aren't really any mess or glue spots showing. I'll maybe sew a wig clip inside for safety reasons, it felt bit like it's gonna fly off if it winds too hard : D

Nyt on sitten Aladdinin vaatteet valmiit! Enää puuttuu huilu, jonka pohjaa odottelen tässä saapuvaksi. Tule jo~! Keppiä en (ainakaan tälle kertaa) tee.

Now I have Aladdin's clothes ready! I'm only missing the flute and waiting it's base to arrive at the moment. Come already~! I'm not making his staff (at least for now).

Jjjjjup, piti mennä valkkaamaan just se mekko mikä näkyy ehkä 5 minuuttia, ja siitäkin yli puolet yläosa on joko a) huivin tai b) hiusten peitossa. En ihan kässänny miten toi toimii, mut improttiin jotain. Nyt tulee mekko ja liivi. Mekkoa saatiin aika paljon ommeltua, kaikki lukuisat helmat on ommeltu yhteen ja odottavat rypytystä, yläosaa pitää vielä vähän hioa. Kuvia ei näistä nyt ole, osat jäität muutenki Tiinalle kun siellä sitä kumminki jatkan, koska ah, saumuri <3

Liivin sensijaan otin kotiin. Saatiin se ommeltua siihen pisteeseen että oikeestaa vaan vuoren kiinnitys puuttuu, mutta koska päätin kirjoa noi kaikki pikku kuviot tossa, sitä ei voitu vielä tehä. Jjjep, ja noita kuvioita oon sitten tässä pari päivää jo väkertäny. Onneks on aikaa lokakuuhun asti.. Yritin eka näistä screenshoteista noita tihrustaa, mutta sitten koin halleluja-momentin kun tajusin että sillä on samanlainen liiviasia yhdessä toisessa mekossa josta on huomattavasti parempia kuvia \o/

Yyyyup I had to go and pick the one dress that shows for maybe 5 minutes and most of it the upper part is covered by a) a scarf b) hair. I didn't quite get how it works but we improvised something. Now we have a dress and a vest. We got the dress part sewn pretty well, all the many hems are toghether already waiting to be pleated, the upper part needs still a bit polishing. I don't have any pictures of these, as the parts are at Tiina's since I'll continue it there because ah, over locker <3

The vest I did take home. We got it to the point that only the lining needs to be attached, but since I decided to embroider all those small patterns on it. Yup, those I have been doing for last few days. Thank God I have time until October...  I tried to peer these from these screenshots but then I had a hallelujah-moment when I noticed she as a same vest thingy in another outfit from which there are much better pictures \o/

Pidettiin tosiaan ke-to pieni cosplaypaja Neeneen kanssa. Autoin sitä sen cossissa ja pääsääntösesti muuten sitte tein tota liiviä. Ja maratoonattiin Inuyashaa taas (saatiin varmaa skipata yli 10 jaksoo turhia fillereitä) ja puhuttiin paskaa ja juotiin kokista.

Tarkoitus oli tähän kirjotella myös tän päivän Hanamista ja Ropeconista joka alkaa huomenna, mutta tästä tuli jo sen verta pitkä että taijan sittenki tehä niistä toisen postauksen ens viikolla. Ropeen ei oo asusuunnitelmia, kuten ei ennenkää. Pitäis joskus jotain tehä sinnekki, keksii joku cossi joka sopii sinne.

 Nyt menen syömään jotain ja sitten nukkumaan.

We had a little cosplay work shop with Neenee from Wednesday to Thursday. I helped her with her costume and otherwise I worked on that vest. Also we marantoned Inuyasha again (probably skipped at least 10 episodes of boring fillers) and talked shit and drank Coca Cola.

I was supposed to write here about today's Hanami and Ropoecon which starts tomorrow, but it got already so long I think I'll make a separate post about them next week. I don't have any costume plans for Rope, like usually. I should do something for there sometime, figure out cosplay that fits there.

Now I'll go to eat something and then to sleep.

Popcult photoshoot - Circus Freak

Popcultin kuvat sain tänään käteeni ja koska niille ei tarvinnut tehdä käytännössä mitään muuta kun vesileiman lisääminen, tämä olikin nopsampi prosessi. No oisinhan mä nyt voinu päivän oottaa, mutta no, eipähän nyt sitten tule yhtä super pitkää postausta :'D #envaanosaaodottaa

Mutta juu. Kuvat oli tosi kivoja ja hienoja ja ääää ;___; <3 Ehkä parhaat cossikuvat mitä musta on otettu! Aino on paras <3

Ty Leetä oli tosiaan kiva cossailla, vaikka oli vähän painava peruukki niin ei sekään ollu mitenkää epämukava! Olin jo sanomassa että tää oli eka "masupaljaana"-cossi, mutta sitten tajusin että onhan mulla Kouha. Mutta enivei, lyhyt paitakaan ei tuntunu niin epämukavalta mitä oletin että se saattais olla. 

Ty Lee on semmonen ilopilleri luonteeltaan, eli sopii mulle täydellisesti : D Ne joille sarja ei ole tuttu, neiti on sirkuksessa akrobaattina ja paikan "vetonaula", kunnes liittyy prinsessa Azulan mukaan jahtaamaan Avataria. Hänen erikoiskykynsä on chi-blocking, ja koska en osaa selittää, ottakaa tästä Avatar-wikian artikkeli aiheesta! Ty Lee on vahva taistelija vaikke bendaaja olekkaan. Hänellä on kuusi identtistä siskoa (hui!), jonka takia hän karkasi sirkukseen koska tunsi ettei hänellä kotona ollut edes omaa identiteettiään ja hän joutui alati kilpailemaan huomiosta. Sinääsnä huvittavaa jos tietää mihin Ty Lee sitten sarjan lopussa päätyy :'> Ty Lee uskoo myös yliluonnolliseen, mm. ihmisten auroihin ja siihen että negatiivinen energia aiheuttaa ryppyjä.

I got pictures from Popcult today and since I didn't really need to do anything to them except to add the watermark, this was a lot faster than I expected. Well I could have waited for one day, but well at least last post didn't turn out super long :'D #Ijustdontknowhowtowait

But yeah. All pictures were good and awesome and waaaaah ;__; <3 Maybe the best cosplay pictures that have been taken of me! Aino is the best <3

It was nice cosplaying Ty Lee even with the heavy wig which didn't bother me that much in the end! I was about to say that this was my first stomach showing cosplay, but then I remembered I already had Kouha. But anyway, the short shirt didn't bother me as much as I had thought it might.

Ty Lee is a happy-go-lucky nature so she fits me perfectly : D Those who are unfamiliar with the show, she is an acrobat at the circus and is their draw-card until she joined Princess Azula to hunt down the Avatar. Her special skill is chi-blocking, and since I can't explain stuff, have Avatar-wikia's article of the subject! Ty Lee is a strong fighter even tough she is not a bender. She has six identical sisters (eek!) which resulted her to run away to a circus as she felt she didn't even have own identity at home and had to compete for attention. Quite funny if you look what became of her at the end of the show :'> Ty Lee is also superficial, and she belived in auras and that negative energy makes your skin go bad.
